OSRT team members have been on the ground for hurricanes, tornadoes, and flash floods since 2012. Our team provides its members with multiple training simulations to respond to specific disaster-related incident types and considerations, such as how to safely assist in evacuations - including individuals with limited mobility or other special considerations. Further, OSRT SAR team members are trained and qualified in conducting Disaster Damage Assessments, whether it's Rapid Needs Assessments (RNA), Preliminary Disaster Assessment (PDA), or Local Disaster Assessment (LDA). And, again, OSRT not only conducts these assessments but they can produce annotated maps detailing their findings.
