Search and Rescue Specialist

The Search and Rescue Specialist category involves a wide range of specific courses, a majority of which can be completed online in our self-paced Learning Management System (LMS). As each self-paced module is completed, candidates gain hands-on re enforcement at monthly exercises. The core credentials are delivered by the National Association for Search and Rescue – Fundamentals of Search and Rescue through SARTech I. Individuals pursuing the Specialist designation will be capable of deploying with the team, regardless of how far along the credential path they may be at any given time. The value of the full credential is its use as a stepping stone to team leadership. Of equal importance in reaching this level is the ability to mentor other team members and guide their growth.
